EIA/SEA Czech & Slovak National Congress

The Regional EIA Centre s.r.o. and Integra Consulting s.r.o. are organizing the 13th SEA/EIA conference, which will take place on 19 and 20 April 2023 at the Horal Hotel in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm.

Environmental impact assessment at the strategic and project level serves to prevent, minimize or compensate for negative impacts. It contributes to the protection of the environment and health, while promoting sustainable economic development. The long-standing and extensive practice of SEA and EIA in the Czech Republic raises a number of questions concerning methodological procedures, new topics (e.g. climate risk assessment or EU taxonomy), or effective application in individual economic sectors.

The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for discussion on the effectiveness of the current practice of SEA and EIA in the Czech Republic, on current and expected future trends in the field of impact assessment, or for the presentation of foreign experiences. The papers and presentations will be arranged in six thematic sections: The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for discussion on the effectiveness of the current practice of SEA and EIA in the Czech Republic, on current and expected future trends in the field of impact assessment, or for the presentation of foreign experience.
