Financing Socially Just Decarbonisations

Background

Our CEO Linda Zeilina is currently a Policy Leader Fellow at the European University Institute’s (EUI) School for Transnational Governance in Italy. On April 20th, she will be part of a discussion group under the Policy Leader Fellow Talks moderated by our Head of Strategy, David Murphy.

In this talk organised by the School of Transnational Governance, the STG Policy Leader Fellows will discuss the financing of socially just decarbonations.

The panel will explore what the roadblocks exist for industry decarbonisation, and how to overcome these in a way that does not compromise social outcomes. The speakers will discuss how to finance decarbonisation, exploring new financial instruments and structures can be used for improved outcomes. The session will also debate what regulatory changes are needed to ensure a just transition to low carbon growth.
