About the course

As sustainable finance becomes an integral part of the corporate and financial landscape, an increasing number of companies and institutions are adopting the EU Taxonomy and incorporating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) disclosures into their operations. Despite initial scepticism, the EU regulatory framework and client demands are creating pressures to understand the different components of the EU sustainable finance framework. Since the EU Taxonomy is one of the core building blocks and tools for the measurement of sustainability performance, it is key to build internal capacity to work with the framework effectively.

This special module delves deep into the EU Taxonomy, evaluating its role and limitations in transition planning. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the six environmental objectives, discuss key performance indicators (KPIs), and leave with a deep understanding of the benefits of activity-level environmental sustainability reporting. In addition to theory, the course will offer practical insights drawn from current market practices and real-world implementation efforts.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with subject-matter experts, including current members of the EU Platform on Sustainable Finance who work on the development of the EU Taxonomy. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with top-level experts and practitioners across various roles, sectors, and countries.

The course blends theory and practice, ensuring a highly interactive and practical learning experience.
