Just Transition Fund Open to All: Technical Assistance and Support to Small Entities (SMEs and NGOs)
The ISFC conducted a technical mapping analysis of the preparation of the Just Transition Mechanism in the Czech Republic. The Just Transition Fund (JTF) prioritizes investment in SMEs, including start-ups and new firms as well as NGOs. A key finding of the report is that it is essential to provide technical assistance and support to these groups so that they can access the funding and fully participate in the transition. This workshop will clarify what is currently planned and how can implementers of the JTF provide sufficient support to “level the playing field” for smaller entities while creating a fertile environment for those small entities to grow.
Issues and questions to be discussed:
Main findings of the Technical Mapping Exercise
Description of technical support provided by the MoE OP.
Other potential providers of technical support.
Experiences of OSF Active Citizens Fund
Incubators as a launch platform for new start-ups and SMEs
Specific needs of potential recipients - one-stop shop
Different models of coordination and collaboration among small entities
UJEP's role in establishing new businesses.
