This session is a special event to celebrate the 50 years of UN Environment Programme (UNEP), aimed to discuss the future: reinvigorated environmental multilateralism within the frame of relevant international frameworks.
The discussion also touches upon how the science-policy interface and the global environmental governance system can remain fit-for-purpose, keeping up with societal changes and improving transparency, inclusivity, intergenerational equity and solidarity, while accelerating global action in response to the triple planetary crisis.
